Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RecontX Inc., a California corporation (“RecontX”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, and shares personal information through recontx.com (the “Site”). It does not cover information we process on behalf of clients under a services agreement; that processing is governed by the agreement with the client.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you send an inquiry through the contact form, we collect your name, work email address, company, role (if you provide it), the topic you select, and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider automatically receives technical information that any web server needs to deliver a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. This information is kept in server logs used for security, abuse prevention, and reliable delivery. We do not use it to identify you or to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect

The Site does not use cookies, web beacons, analytics tools, advertising networks, social media plugins, or any other technology that tracks you across pages, over time, or across other websites. The Site has no user accounts.

2. How we use information

• to read and respond to your inquiry, and to discuss a possible engagement with you;
• to filter spam and protect the Site and the contact form from abuse;
• to keep a record of our business correspondence; and
• to comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not add you to a marketing list.

3. How we share information

We share personal information only with:

• Service providers that operate the Site and process inquiries on our behalf, namely our website hosting and form-processing provider (Netlify, Inc.), including the automated spam-filtering service it uses, and the email provider through which we receive and answer inquiries. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
• Legal and safety recipients, when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a government request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RecontX or others.
• A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. How long we keep information

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and to carry on any resulting business relationship. If no business relationship follows, we delete inquiry information within 24 months of our last communication with you, unless we must keep it longer to meet a legal obligation. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention practices.

5. Security

The Site is served only over HTTPS, and we limit access to inquiry information to the people at RecontX who need it to respond. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. To make a request, use our contact form and select “Privacy request”. We will verify the request using the email address you contacted us from, and we will not discriminate against you for making it.

7. California residents

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because the Site does not track visitors over time or across third-party websites, it treats every visit the same way, whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. No third party is permitted to collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across websites when you use the Site.

Shine the Light

California Civil Code section 1798.83 lets California residents ask about the disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.

California Consumer Privacy Act

To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to RecontX, you have the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information we hold about you, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. The categories of personal information we collect are identifiers and professional information you submit through the contact form, and the internet activity information described in section 1. The sources, purposes, and recipients are described above. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization.

8. Children

The Site is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Where information is processed

RecontX is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will not apply it to that information without your consent.
